Description

Due to the high virulence of many pathogens in emerging epidemics it is essential for PHE microbiology to purchase a containment facility to provide a safe working environment for microbiological diagnostics and research. This is facilitated by the glove box, a portable isolator providing a safe working environment which allows the safe handling of dangerous pathogens such as Ebola. OWR GmbH are the only supplier capable of providing the required Rapid Containment Kits. Therefore the decision was made to award a PHE wide contract for the Rapid Containment Kits to OWR GmbH .
