Description

To support the growing needs of the BIOENERGY research area within Energy 2050 at the University of Sheffield, PACT requires a minimum 155kWth to a maximum 340kWth, ideally 160-220kWth grate boiler for wood chip and wood/biomass pellets (possibly via an interchangeable fuel feed system) to complement its existing facilities. The boiler will primarily support Bioenergy research focused on fuel development and testing, and utilisation in CCS Technologies with a connection (by PACT from spur and valve from boiler's flue gas duct) to an onsite CO2 capture plant.
