Description
Public Health England (PHE) requires the provision of a High Purity Germanium Gamma-ray spectrometry detector for use in its Environmental Gamma Counting laboratory within the Internal Dosimetry group. The system will be used for the counting of low level and environmental samples.
The proposed solution MUST be able to fulfil all of the following requirements:
- N-Type high purity Germanium crystal detector with thin carbon endcap for improved low energy efficiency
- Suitable for gamma energies from 25keV to 2500keV
- Be a planar detector configuration with an active area between 3500 and 4200 mm2
- Have a Cryostat dipstic compatible with our existing Canberra Cryocycle and Ortec Mobius liquid nitrogen recycling system
- Compatibility with Apex Gamma and Genie software and the Lynx signal processor
- Be provided with a full Characterisation file.
