Description

NOTE: This notice was updated on 30 January 2024 for the following reason: The deadline for receipt of bids is now Monday 5 February at 12:00 mid-day. The rest of our timetable remains the same."(This is a pilot project for the Council to test delivery of hedgerow Biodiversity Net Gain offsetting projects. These initial establishment works (between 2-4 sites) will be followed by another competitive procurement exercise to maintain them for c30years at a specific ecological condition. There is no guarantee that the winning contractor will win any additional works. The establishment phase is crucial for this long-term success.

The ground preparation and planting works will take place in March 2024. Annual establishment works will be required for 3 years until (March 2027) with possible extension for an additional two years.)
