Description

This is the Fourth Window - successful applicants from the first, second and third windows do not need to reapply.
**The total estimated value included in this notice is based on the total annual expenditure with all Wolverhampton CCG AQP CHC providers over the last 12 months, which equated to £1.92m. Therefore, the notice value has been calculated as follows: Total Annual Expenditure x 3 Year Contract duration + 2.5% uplift = £5.9m. Please note that under this Any Qualified Provider model, there will be no guarantees of volume or payment in the contracts awarded to any provider. Selection of which accredited organisations will provide the service to the patient will be made by the patient or patient representative**

NHS Arden & GEM CSU on behalf of NHS Wolverhampton CCG are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified providers for a provision of Nursing Home Placements for Patients qualifying for NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) services. The service is being commissioned using the Any Qualified Provider process.

The base tariffs are:
EMI £743.13/week
Mental Health £717.50/week
Physical Disabilities £717.50/week

The qualification period for the AQP accreditation will be for a 3 year period from the 1st July 2019.

The CCG may open up additional qualification rounds during the accreditation period. Should there be any geographical areas within the CCG area where further choice of provider is required; the CCG reserves the right to limit the next accreditation round to specific geographical areas only.

All potential providers who wish to express an interest in the service will be required to complete an accreditation questionnaire. NHS Wolverhampton CCG will assess the responses to the accreditation questionnaire to determine if a provider is sufficiently qualified to provide the service specified in the Service Specification contained within the Accreditation documentation. All providers who meet the required minimum quality criteria, who accept the NHS Standard Contract Terms and who accept the Specification and the Tariff for the service set by Wolverhampton CCG will be offered a contract.

Applications will be accepted from all organisation types including sole provider, consortia, partnership, lead provider etc.

In securing services from Providers, the CCG needs assurance of competence, quality and safety standards, just as it would for services secured under a formal tender process. Any provider will be eligible to join a list of qualified providers subject to demonstrating competency against the Authority's specified criteria. The list will be open to new entrants to the market, subject to assessment. The successful provider(s) will be required to sign the standard NHS Contract, accepting all terms and conditions.
