Description

Renovation of a Georgian Plunge Pool designed by Richard Woods leading designer of his day c1766. The pool's west wall is collapsing and is in need of rebuilding before it is lost. It is currently braced with unsightly boards and scaffolding poles to prevent further damage. Listed Building consent has been granted to repair this wall and to repair the inner drainage channel to prevent water from diverting into the west wall which had caused the original damage. The consent allows for dismantling wall, making repairs to the inner structure and then rebuilding the wall following the archaeological recommendations.
