Description
The Scheme for Registration [hereafter "the Scheme"] represents the principal route for entry into the profession. It comprises a programme of pre-registration training and assessment, lasting up to 27 months, delivered as structured and supported route from graduate to professional optometrist. All optometrists must successfully complete this training following graduation (2:2 or above) to obtain registration with the General Optometry Council and practise optometry unsupervised.
