Description

Undertaking of stabilisation trials in connection with the remediation of the Cwm Rheidol filter beds.

The existing filter beds were installed in the 1960's and have become inefficient. We plan to remediate the filter beds to construct a mine water treatment scheme. This will require the excavation and processing of current filter bed material, including ex situ stabilisation as a ground engineering technique to provide a geotechnical and geochemically suitable fill.
