Description

The purpose of this tender is to select Consultant(s) to (1) perform studies and report cryogenic sealing solution(s) which most closely satisfy the stated criteria and (2) to identify and to price the development work to achieve or further develop the connection solutions.
Solutions are required for liquid helium connections (operating at or near 4 K), which can be easily made/remade, e.g. by a compression fit, during maintenance periods (at room temperature). It should be indicated if the proposed solution would operate equally well in a temperature range from 4-100 K (e.g. helium gas at 20-30 K or liquid nitrogen at 77 K) and what, if any, modifications or development would be required.
