Description

This requirement orginates from the original SBRI theme of "How we can better mask vehicles that are static from observations, i.e. camouflage netting?"
Following a demo day it was recommended that the project be carried forward to further assess the application of an Active camoflage system (Compared to current in service solutions) in order to continue to inform the development of requirements for future EP Programmes within the MCC Programme. It was recommended that larger panels be produced and affixed to a suitable military vehicle.
A Phase A Contract under SBRI was placed with Plextek in 2013, and this is a follow on Phase 2 Contract.
