Description

This project will deliver the annual inventories of ammonia and GHGs to the Authority on a timely basis as detailed in Section 4 of this ITT. The project will also deliver annually updates projections of emissions. The project will compile the GHG using the UKs country specific agricultural inventory model approach developed under the GHG R&D Platform. Emissions estimates will be generated using the inventory calculations model developed under project SCF0102. Annual estimates of ammonia emissions will be produced from the same model. Details of the model are available from the authority on request.


The project aims to deliver annual inventories of ammonia and GHG emissions from Agricultural practices to Defra on a timely basis. The project will also deliver annually updates projections of emissions. The project will compile the GHG inventory using the UKs country specific agricultural inventory model approach developed under the GHG R&D Platform, and implemented operationally in project SCF0102.

Throughout the lifetime of the project the inventory model will be updated as necessary to reflect verdicts of the UNFCCC expert review team, or developments in our understanding of emissions from agriculture.
