Description

The Council wishes to appoint an organisation (or an organisation leading a consortium) experienced in the engagement and empowerment of residents in major regeneration schemes, with strong demonstrable links to the local community to effectively engage residents and school pupils in the regeneration of the Ladywood Estate area, to ensure the development of good quality well designed, sustainable, efficient, affordable and well managed housing and open spaces with high community value, that meets the current and future needs of residents.

Engagement activities with residents will cover the procurement period for a Development/Investment Partner(s) for the Ladywood Estate Regeneration area, and the generation of a masterplan for the development of the area.

The organisation will provide independent advice and guidance to residents on the design and delivery processes of the Ladywood Estate Regeneration Scheme

Skills and experience required

o Expertise in resident consultation stakeholder engagement and resident empowerment in major regeneration schemes;
o Experience of working in B16 area with the community and community organisations;
o Experience of working with elected members of local government;
o Experience of working with schools and developing school teaching packs and materials;
o Experience of working with and engaging hard to reach groups;
o Understanding of housing development and regeneration process and principles;
o Ability to analyse data and produce a report of findings;
o Ability to run meetings and workshops virtually if physical meetings are not possible.
o An operational understanding of current data protection legislation.

This contract will be for a period of 3 years commencing in September 2020.
