Description

The purpose of this early engagement / prior information notice is to advise, and engage, the market about a potential procurement exercise for the provision of Resident Medical Officers ('RMOs') to East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust ('the Trust').

The Trust would be seeking to appoint a suitably experienced provider of RMOs to seamlessly provide 24 hours a day, seven days a week cover across its three acute hospital sites:

1) Kent and Canterbury Hospital ('KCH'), Canterbury, CT1 3NG.
2) William Harvey Hospital ('WHH'), Ashford, TN24 0LZ.
2) Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother Hospital ('QEQM'), Margate, CT9 4AN.

The Trust expects:

- the RMOs provided to be an integral part of the team (including the arrest team) responsible for the provision of medical care to its patients on a routine and emergency basis.
- the provider to meet all statutory regulations, and all other reasonable standards, applicable to the provision of RMOs to the NHS.

Instructions for registering an interest are as follows:

b) express an interest in the project pqq_1095 - Provision of Resident Medical Officers. It should be noted that this is NOT the actual Selection Questionnaire stage of the potential procurement exercise. System limitations mean that the label states 'PQQ' but the procurement opportunity is NOT yet live. You will be informed if, and when, the procurement goes live.

c) accurately complete and fully submit your answers to the questionnaire by no later than 12:00noon on Friday, 10th September 2021.

Please note that:

- 2gether Support Solutions are acting as the Trust's procurement agent ('the Agent') in relation to running of this potential procurement exercise.

- experienced providers of RMOs who do not wish to express an interest in response to this early engagement / prior information notice will still be able to express their interest in participating if, and when, the procurement opportunity goes live and the contract notice calling for competition is published

- the Agent anticipates that the Open procedure procurement route shall be used if, and when, the procurement opportunity goes live.
