Description
The British Council is the main supplier for the UKVI IELTS. The new UKVI IELTS tests are Secure English Language Tests, approved by the UK Visas and Immigration Department. They have been in effect since 6th April 2015. The tests are taken at approved testing centres and provide evidence of the candidate's English language level in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
The UKVI IELTS tests are scheduled 48 times per year. The Listening, Reading and Writing tests are usually taking place on Saturdays, and the Speaking test either on the same day, or seven days before or after that.
The testing centres are operating from an administrative hub in West London however the actual test sitting centres are located at ten permanent and two pop-up venues in the UK and test materials and equipment are transported to and fro to these venues for each test dates.
7 Specification and mandatory requirements
• Collection of materials from the British Council Administrative Hub in Greenford on Friday between 14:00 and 16:00.
• Delivery of the materials into a secured storage facility on Friday afternoon and stored overnight.
• Materials to be driven by transit vehicles to the specific locations and delivered at exactly 7am on Saturday morning.
• Materials to be collected from test venues between 19:00 and 20:00 on Saturday evening and driven directly back to secured storage facility.
• Materials to be stored in secure storage facility until Monday morning
• Materials to be delivered into the British Council Administrative Hub , Greenford between 08:00 and 09:00 on Monday morning
• All vehicles to have slam locks, CCTV cameras, trackers and fully security vetted drivers who carry ID. The vehicles should not be carrying any other item for any other company and the vehicles must be at the full disposal of the British Council for the specific route.
• The storage facility to have CCTV cameras, Group 3 security alarm system as well as 24-hour manned security personnel on the entrance to the site.
• Within the storage facility, a separated and segregated unit to be available for storage with limited access to facility staff.
• Named courier drivers to be contactable on a phone during the test day by the British Council representative.
• A dedicated account manager to be allocated for the British Council account to handle any escalation requests
• An electronic booking and tracking system in place which would allow a named British Council staff to track the stages of delivery at any point of time.
• 36 test delivery- 36 Saturday test dates- dates in the financial year for each test location.
• Materials handled with care as they contain electronic devices
• Materials would include the following items in variable amount: test papers/test documents/ video cameras/photo cameras/laptops/ voice recorders/power banks/ stationary<br />
