Description

The aim of the therapy service is to deliver effective therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of families with children and young person aged 0-19 where there are concerns regarding: persistent anti social behaviour substance misuse youth offending. Poor communication within the family Relationship difficulties within the parental/child relationships The emotional presentation of a child who has been subject to an abusive/traumatic situation It is anticipated that this work will address communication, behavioural and emotional difficulties within individuals and family relationships to prevent escalation of concerns and prevent family breakdown. We would like to include in the offer a range of therapies which will provide us with the versatility to meet varying therapeutic needs on an individual and group basis. We are expecting that the use of a creative medium like art or music for example will help young people explore and articulate their feelings rather than speaking about them.
