Description

Derbyshire County Council is seeking to appoint an independent Chair of the Local Pension Board which was established in April 2015. The Local Pension Board will be responsible for assisting Derbyshire County Council, as Scheme Manager, in ensuring efficient governance and administration of the Derbyshire Pension Fund. This will include complying with Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Regulations and the Code of Practice on the Governance and Administration of Public Service Pension Schemes issued by the Pensions Regulator. The Board will be an oversight body and will not replace the existing Pensions and Investments Committee which administers the Scheme on behalf of Derbyshire County Council.
