Description

The Area Council now welcomes applications from eligible organisations for funding to deliver youth work solutions that will empower and support our children and young people (aged 8 to 13 years) to build emotional resilience by developing a range of 'survive to thrive' tools. Focusing attention on the following outcomes:
i. Improve emotional literacy, self-regulation and resilience
ii. Improve communication skills as a foundation for effective relationship building iii. Increase a sense of belonging and connection with friends, family and place
iv. Increase preparedness for successful transitions
v. Increase participation in positive activities that help to build skills necessary to navigate challenging situations successfully
vi. Increase awareness of where to seek help and how to access support in relation to emotional health and wellbeing (demonstrating connectivity with support services and use of appropriate referrals mechanisms)
This should be a blended approach working with schools, Family Hubs and in the wider community. Delivering innovative, flexible youth work to positively influence young people's lives by providing support and guidance and social engagement, which is exciting and stimulating, in areas where there is an identified need.
