Requirements: To perform a range of mechanical, flammability and chemical tests on a selection of baby carriers and slings and to verify compliance with the following Regulations (and any amendments to these):
1)The General Product Safety Directive (GPSD) 2001/95/EC
2)UK Statutory Instrument 2005 No. 1803 - CONSUMER PROTECTION The General Product Safety Regulations 2005
The test methods applied should follow the standards indicated, or other reliable, accurate and reproducible calculation and measurement methods, which take into account the generally-recognised state of the art. Relevant Standards and Technical Report

Test Reports - In addition to any requirements/format described in relevant testing standards, the BEIS specific content shall apply: SEE ITQ DOCUMENT
A total of 30 baby carriers and slings will be tested. This will breakdown into 15 carriers and 15 slings. Due to the destructive nature of the testing, we are planning to purchase 3 examples of each carrier and sling.
Testing to start w/c: 19/11/18
Testing to be completed by: 28/02/19

This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.
