Description
At a later date in the 2017/18 period The City of London Corporation plans to procure a new strategic solution for minor works associated with cyclical replacement, refurbishment and minor improvements. This notice is being published to give advance notice to the market of a forthcoming call for competition, and to provide an opportunity for businesses wishing to do so to participate in a market testing exercise. The City occupies and operates accommodation that exceeds over 800 properties covering the following geographical locations:
• Square Mile

• North London
• Epping Forest
• Buckinghamshire

That accommodation, some of which is listed, and includes corporate office, school, housing, police, income generating investment property, market and commercial, theatre and concert hall provisions, and other individual property assets associated
with City open spaces and built environment at locations across the wider London region.
Annual spend on minor works in this context can be variable. Historically total spend has been seen in a range of £8-9m per annum. Future annual spend may vary further.
Over 400 individual works orders can be issued each year with peaks in the number of orders issued usually seen in February, June to July, and September to October.
Historically individual works order values are most commonly below £50,000, but can in some cases be higher.
