Description

The University wishes to appoint a suitable Contractor to provide planned and reactive maintenance, and repairs on its Salto access control system and associated hardware installed within its properties, and future expansion of the system and hardware as required.

Since 2014 the University has invested in a Salto central door access control system across Campus, which is integrated with the master University accommodation data system Kinetics, in order to standardise systems and improve efficiencies managing the University student accommodation.

Contractors must be an accredited Salto Gold Partner, as a minimum. The majority of installations are in student rooms so if there is an issue we need to resolve quickly and efficiently. Gold Partner accreditation ensure the Contractor can support the Salto application directly, with the support of Salto at no additional cost to the University if the Contractor has application issues they cannot resolve, and it allows the University to contact Salto directly if we have technical issues.

Due to the operation of the University, the majority of the refurbishment works in student accommodation take place over the summer vacation, this can lead to a high demand during this period.

Documents can be accessed free of charge via the University's e-tender system, ProContract,at https://procontract.due-north.com/Login
