The practical application of theory is an essential learning requirement of students enrolled upon scientific courses, experiments are used to analyse and investigate scientific principle.

Spectrophotometry is a versatile non-invasive technique which has wide spread frequent application throughout most taught courses spanning multiple subject areas across the School of applied sciences.

The expansion of teaching facilities in terms of new higher capacity teaching laboratories necessitates the purchase of 60 spectrophotometers
