Description

NHS South of England Procurement Services, acting on behalf of Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are commencing a tender for the delivery of a Community Pharmacy Technician Training and Development Pilot Programme 2017/18.

HEE, in partnership with NHS England, is seeking to engage providers to deliver a training and development pilot programme focused on community pharmacy technicians working in community pharmacy practice.

The pilot programme will provide:

• Training and development opportunities for a minimum of 25 pharmacy technicians, across a variety of 25 workplaces (community pharmacies), to develop their professional, management, and leadership roles within community pharmacy.
• Organisational, team and workforce development support for community pharmacies.
• A research and evaluation component embedded within the programme to provide a formal report with a set of evidenced recommendations for future work.

Bids will be welcomed from individual providers or a consortium of providers, based on a prime provider model with rollout/recruitment expected to commence from January 2018.

This contract has a maximum length of 1 year and a maximum value of £325,000 inclusive, to cover all elements of the programme delivery. These figures include VAT.

The deadline for submission of completed ITT submissions is Wednesday 11th October 2017 at 12:00pm (midday). Late submissions will not be accepted. The e-portal system will shutdown at 12:00pm and any unsubmitted bids not registered to the system at this time will not be accepted.
