Description
The aim of the Tier 3 adult weight management service is to provide specialist assessment, treatment and support for individual's, aged 18 or over, with severe and complex obesity. The service will be both evidence-based and cost efficient and will be expected to demonstrate exceptional quality standards. It will provide specialist dietary, pharmaceutical and psychological treatments, delivered by a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), with detailed and regular follow-up. The Tier 3 weight management service will align with NICE Guidance and will adhere to the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) / Integrated Care System policies relating to the management and treatment of obesity.
The aim of the Child Weight Management service is to support the strategic aims of the council, and wider system, to reduce childhood obesity levels in order to achieve better outcomes for our children and lessen inequalities. Delivery will be through a three step approach, with increasing complexity from universal prevention focused to specialist, targeted provision. The service will be across both Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, will be both evidence-based and cost efficient and will be expected to demonstrate exceptional quality standards.

Date: Thursday 19th January 2023
Venue: Huntingdon (In person. Please note there is no option for Virtual attendance). Further details about the location in Huntingdon will be provided in due course after the registration deadline of 12pm on the 6th January 2023).
Tier 3 Adult Weight Management
This event will take place in the morning, from 10.00am-12.30pm.
This will be a service across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and will be an addition to the existing Tier 3 service delivered by Healthy You.
Child Weight Management
This event will take place in the afternoon, from 1.30pm-4.00pm
This will be a service across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and will involve a three step approach with increasing complexity.
The purpose of the event will be to provide you with more information on the tenders, ahead of them going live, and to feedback on the consultation and co-production work which is currently ongoing
There is ample free parking at the venue, and refreshments will be provided. Lunch will also be provided for those attending for both events.
