Description

Circulating and bubbling fluidised-bed systems (CFB and BFB) are required to test new adsorbents for CO2 capture on a 5-20 kg scale using simulated and actual flue gases.

The Facility is being funded by the Energy Research Accelerator award from the UK Government made to the University of Nottingham and other Midland Universities. It will be housed in a new building (RAD Building University of Nottingham, Jubilee Campus, Wollaton Road, Nottingham NG8 1BB) containing a purpose-built laboratory having dimensions of H 10m x W 12m x D 12m with full services, including gas supplies for compressed air, nitrogen and CO2.

The scope of this tender for the proposed Facility covers the design, supplying all the components, except where otherwise specified, the installation and commissioning.
