Description

Expression of Interest: REPLICATE Smart Homes
You are invited to submit an expression of interest to attend a supplier day at Bristol City Council's City Hall on 9th or 10th of November. The session will be an opportunity to hear about the REPLICATE Smart Homes project, meet our project partners and ask any questions ahead of the formal tender launch mid-November.
Bristol City Council is seeking to procure goods and services for a smart home pilot within a district of the city involving 150 homes from a supplier or consortium. A budget of approximately £330,000 is available for this pilot.
We are seeking a supplier who can deliver a range of smart appliances and associated devices and who are willing to work on a research project where there will be a development approach to some aspects of the tasks involved. We welcome bids from suppliers that are manufacturer of the smart appliances or those suppliers who are able to meet the requirements.
The REPLICATE Project is a European Commission funded smart city project that will deploy integrated energy, transport and ICT solutions in city districts, of which Bristol is one of three lead European cities. It is a five year project split into three phases: 1.) set-up, 2.) implementation, and 3.) monitoring and scale-up. The project kicked-off on the 1st February 2016, with the implementation phase being from January 2017 to January 2019, and the monitoring and scale-up phase from February 2019 to January 2021.
The aim of the Bristol Pilot is: to tackle inequalities and increase community engagement and resilience in east Bristol by demonstrating new, intelligently managed services with citizens and communities.
Suppliers are invited to submit an expression of interest by 1st November. Once confirmation has been received a further information pack will be supplied ahead of the day
