Description
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Authority (DSFRA) have awarded a Call-Off Contract for the provision of Rapid Intervention Vehicles (RIVs) - 4x2 variant, which are 7 tonne Pumping Appliances.
The Call-Off Contract is formed as a direct award via Lot 5a of the Chief Fire Officers Association Framework Agreement for UK Fire and Rescue Emergency Response Vehicles, which went live on 27th March 2017 and was let by DSFRA. Lot 5a contains a single Framework Contractor.
DSFRA may procure new RIVs via this Call-Off Contract until 9th April 2023. The contractual obligations and provision of supporting goods and services will remain in place for the anticipated life of the vehicles (12 years) and therefore will not expire until 9th April 2035.
As per the Invitation to Tender for the Framework Agreement, DSFRA intend to procure approximately 45 of these vehicles, however, the actual volume may be higher or lower than this.
