An event for therapists, mentors and tutors in SEND to find out about how to join our Approved Provider List to supply provision in EHCPs.

When a child or young person with Special Education Needs or Disabilities (SEND) is entitled to additional support, which is written in section F of their EHCP, the Council is responsible for finding and buying these services. Schools also arrange these services. This includes therapists, mentors and tutors. Currently the Council buys from a small range of organisations. Our arrangements with organisations are made on an individual basis. School have their own arrangements. This is known as spot purchasing.

An Approved Provider list is a multi-provider contract of organisations who have passed quality standards. The Council and Schools can use this list to buy services. The list is a different way of buying services - changing the mechanism we use to buy.

We want to work with a wider range of organisations to reflect Bristol as a diverse city. This event is a chance to hear about this Approved Provider list in more detail and to find out how to join. We welcome therapists, tutors and mentors from across the city to attend to find out more.
