Description

The requirement is for a gas launcher that can be configured either as a single stage launcher or as a two stage gas launcher in which the single stage is used as the pump tube. The target applications for this facility are bird strike, soft body impact, debris impact and material characterisation. The system should allow for the tests to be performed in vacuum and atmospheric conditions.
