Description

Marketing Birmingham is the area's strategic marketing partnership, which focuses on three business areas (i) investment, (ii) the visitor economy and (iii) strategic marketing.

The company is funded by the public and private sectors, and acts as an economic development and promotions agency undertaking long term Service Level Agreement contracts. Clients' examples include: Birmingham City Council; the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF); Finance Birmingham and Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership.

Alongside this, Marketing Birmingham also is commissioned on a project by project basis by clients across the Midlands areas. These can range between consumer and business activity, across sectors and geographic markets - regional, domestic and international, with more focus on the latter two territories.

For more information please visit - www.marketingbirmingham.com

In recent years Birmingham has been successful in attracting a number of inward investment projects relating to higher value added front and middle office activities within Business, Professional and Financial Services to locations within the city centre Enterprise Zone.
Key examples include Deutsche Bank, Morgan Lovells and HSBC. These are distinct from more cost driven and lower end back office functions such as shared services and call centres.

The aim of this project is to inform Marketing Birmingham's strategy to build on these successes and attract additional investment to the Enterprise Zone in this high value added element of the Business, Professional and Financial Services sector.
