Description
Innovate UK KTN exists to connect innovators with new partners and new opportunities beyond their existing thinking - accelerating ambitious ideas into real-world solutions. KTN is part of Innovate UK - the UK's innovation agency.
KTN is looking to appoint a suitably qualified exhibition design company to design, manufacture instal and derig an exhibition stand for the Energy Networks Innovation Conference. We expect to work closely with the chosen company to develop and realise the stand in a creative and impactful way that is relevant and accessible to our audiences.
Innovate UK is taking joint stand space with the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) at the Energy Innovation Summit at the SEC in Glasgow on 28-29 September 2022. Innovate UK KTN will be supporting both organisations on the design and build and management of the stand.
The stand size and location is yet to be confirmed but it will be max 150m2. The attached floor plan shows the current exhibition layout. The final representatives on the stand are also yet to be confirmed but will be BEIS, Innovate UK and possibly six Catapults.
Objectives
• Inspire - connect with the audience
• Create a stand that is engaging and showcases the impact innovation has on the UK economy and the energy sector
• Provide a showcase for Innovate UK, BEIS and the Catapults (latter tbc)
• Put the UK government at the heart of the UK's energy innovation landscape
The stand should meet the objectives outlined above, appeal to the specific target audiences and meet our requirements for brand visibility. From a practical point, consideration should be given to:
• On-stand presentations and meetings
• On-stand use of assets including videos and web-based collateral
• On-stand storage
The themes for the stand will be worked on with the chosen supplier but as a guide may encompass:
• Flex
• Hydrogen
• Heat
• Storage
Build
Following sign-off of detailed designs, the successful agency will undertake production design and specification of all exhibition elements, sourcing sub-contractors for delivery. They will need to ensure the build is durable and is easy to clean. The structures must be compliant with relevant statutory and non-statutory requirements e.g. Health & Safety regulations, Equality Act legislation, be constructed of fire retardant materials and follow best practice procedures. We would like to see the use of sustainable materials wherever possible.
Outputs
All rights (including ownership and copyright) will pass to Innovate UK KTN on completion of this project.
Exclusions:

Please apply to jenny.volkers@ktn-uk.org with your company details, experience of similar sized design and build contracts, confirmation of availability for the September project, suggestions of materials to ensure we adhere to Net Zero best practice and a timeline.
