Description

SSBC is now in the final phase of its programme and we are planning the last large-scale Programme wide annual event.

SSBC would like to invite tenders from consultants and/or organisations who feel suitably qualified to deliver a high-quality, high-profile and creative 2-day conference.

SSBC require an event planner/coordinator who is not only skilled in organising 2-day conferences but also attracting national audiences and has experience in early years and early intervention/prevention.

We are looking to attract as keynote speakers national and international thought leaders, academics, authors who can address and inspire the audience across the three SSBC child development outcomes; speech-language and communication, social and emotional development and nutrition and our fourth outcome around systems change. Therefore, we want to engage a consultant/organisation with high-profile connections /networks. SSBC have some contacts internally that we can share, but ideally, we are looking for a partner who can pull on a wider network which includes policymakers.

We expect that the successful consultant/organisation will work in partnership with the SSBC Evaluation Manager to identify and approach potential speakers.

SSBC believe that one of the keys to the success of this project will be the promotion and exposure of the event to attract a much wider audience. Therefore, the project plan to deliver this event should include advertising and promotion support and VIP invites. The bidding consultant/organisation should be able to draw on relevant communication and PR expertise.

SSBC are also interested in exploring how we add some originality to proceedings. This might include visual minutes, interpreters, interactive platforms such as slido/ menti etc. We are interested in bids that offer some suggestions on how to incorporate this into the plans.

SSBC has identified a suitable venue and has booked this for September 2024. The venue has a main auditorium event and smaller rooms for breakout rooms/sessions. We are looking for someone who can also support the planning of the breakout sessions, which may include poster displays from some of our funded projects and partners. We are looking for a consultant/organisation who can approach this part of the plan creatively and has a suite of tools and expertise to help us in this area (for example templates for posters).

SSBC has some internal resources that it can make available to the project, if this is required, please ensure that this is made clear within the project plan.
