Description

Birmingham City Council invites organisations to provide cleaning services for communal areas of sheltered housing blocks and low rise blocks and also for the cleaning of homeless disbursed temporary accommodation sites around the city. The Council is procuring the Framework Agreement for itself and for use by other contracting bodies referred to in the OJEU notice. It is necessary to split the contact into 4 Lots and no contractor will be awarded more than two lots.

Lot 1 - North (Sutton Vesey, Sutton Trinity, Sutton New Hall, Sutton Four Oaks, Erdington, Stockland Green, Kingstanding, Tyburn Wards)

Lot 2 - East (Washwood Heath, Hodge Hill, Shard End, Bordesley Green, Acocks Green, South Yardley, Stechford and Yardley North, Sheldon, Hall Green, Moseley and Kings Heath, Sparkbrook, Springfield)

Lot 3 - South (Quinton, Edgbaston, Harborne, Bartley Green, Northfield, Longbridge, Weoley, Kings Norton, Selly Oak, Billesley, Brandwood, Bournville)

Lot 4 - Central and West (Oscott, Handsworth Wood, Lozells and East Handsworth, Perry Barr, Ladywood, Nechells, Soho, Aston)

Please note that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 (TUPE) may apply. Further details will be included in the ITT document.

The framework agreement is due to commence on 1st April 2018 and run for a period of two years with an option to extend for a further 12 months subject to requirements and satisfactory performance.

For this framework agreement the Council is using the Restricted Procurement Route and organisations will need to meet the requirements of the Selection Questionnaire (SQ) prior to being invited to tender.
