Description
Bodmin Town Council is seeking a suitably qualified supplier to design and build a skate park which meets national standards (BS EN14974, BS EN1176 and PAS 30).
The skate park must be suitable for skateboards, push bikes (BMX) and scooters. Site visits will be essential to gain a clear understanding of the proposed works and best options moving forward.
The applicants must have a proven record and be able to demonstrate experience in the design and construction of similar projects and be willing to work with local youngsters to help achieve the best design and value for money.
The council is open to the use of all types of construction material and designs and any successful candidates must be able to take part in consultation events to gauge the most desirable design options.
An expression of interest for an area suitable for free running (Parkour) and youth seating provision could be included.
The Town Council has a maximum budget of £150,000 (excl VAT).
The final and successful tender must clearly demonstrate how the funds will be spent. Any successful tenders must include an initial design.
Applicants must be financially stable and have an excellent health and safety record. Contractors who are not able to prove this will not be considered.
