Description

Sheffield City Council invites quotation for the provision of Histopathology Laboratory services. It is envisaged that the contract will be awarded to a single provider for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 1year. The Coroner is an independent judicial officer responsible for investigating sudden and unexplained deaths.
Coroners are funded by Local Authorities. The jurisdiction of the South Yorkshire (West) Coroner covers Sheffield and Barnsley. Sheffield City Council is the lead authority. The Coroner's remit includes identification of the deceased, establishing cause of death and conducting inquests in a public court where necessary.
