Description
The London Borough of Hillingdon (Hillingdon) is seeking a suitably experienced Contractor to provide a comprehensive, efficient, customer focused and cost effective catering and vending service to the Civic Centre and 11 other sites across Hillingdon's non-housing property portfolio.
The Service is required Monday to Friday (Monday to Sunday at some locations) throughout the year, except Christmas Day and Bank Holidays (unless specified) and will include some or all of the following:
Lot 1
- Restaurant counter service - for the provision of a range of hot and cold meals, tea, coffee, fruit juices, snacks, baguettes, sandwiches inclusive of healthy eating options or a Grab and Go option.
- Hospitality - for conferences, meetings and special occasions. A range of buffet and beverage options designed for various function types and giving total and partial organic, farm assured and fairly traded options.
- Vending Services - Tea, Coffee, Confectionery and cold drinks, located at various points
Lot 2
The primary function of the sites in question varies from Day Centres, Early Years Centres and Residential Homes. Each location will have their own unique dietary requirements due to the diversity of the client groups, ethnicity, age range and nutritional requirements. Some sites will require staff to undergo an enhanced CRB/DBS check.

Lot 1 and Lot 2 combined
As a prerequisite for this proposed contract, applicants must have the capabilities, qualifications and resources to deliver these services in accordance with the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the delivery of this service, meeting with the provisions of the Food Safety Act 1990, Food Hygiene Regulations 2006 (including the implementation of a full Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) system at all sites) and other relevant legislation.
The Council intends to award a contract for these services for a period of up to three (3) years with an option to extend for up to a further 1+1 years subject to agreement and satisfactory performance.
TUPE regulations may apply under this contract.
