Therefore we request companies with the capability we require completed the Request For Information Document

The new Digital Accessibility Regulations became law in September 2018: Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. These regulations are designed to improve access to Further and Higher Education and contribute to the Government's ambition to close disability attainment and progression gaps. Public Sector websites and mobile applications are required to comply with the international accessibility standard across a timeframe, with an end date of 23 September 2020. Institutions have an expectation to meet the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA accessibility standard.
The University is seeking to procure an accessibility software solution - Cloud Based. The aim of the is to address issues around equal access to digital content, with specific emphasis on supporting students with disabilities, and in addition to this, the development of staff around digital accessibility. Developing institutional practice in this area is key to change management, and a system such as this will provide continual opportunities for staff to adapt, create accessible content and learn through that process.
