Description

Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council have recently received Department of Transport funding to increase levels of cycling and walking and other physical activity within a specified geographical area (known as the Access Fund Area). They are seeking to implement a technology based system to monitor, encourage and incentivise increased levels of physical activity. This system needs to be available as an app and be capable of monitoring activities including cycling, walking and running and of displaying those activities in a map based format to the user. A Tender process is being undertaken to gather comparative bids to demonstrate a cost effective ability to provide this service and how the activity rewards can be customised to reflect local usage. For further information please see https://www.eastmidstenders.org
