Description

The current contract held by Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust covers the provision of NHS111 to 23 CCGs across the Yorkshire and Humber area including Bassetlaw. The contract provides for the sub-contracted provision of Out of Hours primary medical services on behalf of the 10 CCGs across West Yorkshire (currently provided by Local Care Direct). The combined annual value of this contract is approximately £30 million.

This notice is to advise of the Commissioners' intention to seek agreement through dialogue with the current provider of these services to continue the provision of service by way of a contract of 12 months duration from the end of the current contract.

The extension of service period is to allow the Commissioners' to develop and articulate a comprehensive model for the provision of a high-quality 24/7 Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) service, delivering effective and efficient care for their populations. The development and procurement of this model will be aligned to allow the new arrangements to be in place for 1st April 2019. This opportunity will be advertised later this year.
