Description

The works aim is to introduce a system of Sustainable Drainage to the external school environment with the following benefits: - Storing run-off with slow release to the sewer system. - Harvesting & using rainwater close to where it falls. - The slow transportation of water on the surface. - Filtering of pollutants. - Improving biodiversity. The Contractor will introduce a number of Rain Garden areas. These will not only manage water storage and flow but increase biodiversity and improve the general aesthetic as well. The Contractor will supply and install a number of SuDS specific planters, fed from re-directed downpipes and capturing and utilising a proportion of roof run-off.
