Description

The University of Birmingham invites tenders for a Science Report Writer for an upcoming Policy Commission on Plastics.

The project is based within the University of Birmingham's Plastics Network (The Birmingham Plastics Network) requiring a presence at Commission meetings in London.

The Birmingham Policy Commissions are a flagship programme through which the University utilises both its research excellence and its convening power to inform and shape major future national and global policy recommendations. They bring together a range of organisations such as governments, charities, industry, and academics to produce a high-profile report, which details the complexities and challenges surrounding a specific thematic area, with the end goal being for innovative, but realisable, recommendations to influence policymakers and ultimately be put into practice. Typically, the report includes a physical launch, amplified through the media and other channels, with recommendations discussed and debated in ongoing policy practice workshops, which gives the work longevity and legacy. Commissions can help to raise the profile of cutting-edge research and innovation in Birmingham externally, connecting research to policy makers and practitioners to deliver real-world impact.

All expressions of interest, correspondence and quotes should go via the University's In-Tend website. Your documents and information must be submitted via In-Tend by the date and time specified; https://in-tendhost.co.uk/UNIVERSITYOFBIRMINGHAM/ASPX/Home
