Description

The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for EMLC Academy Trust.

The Trust was incorporated in July 2012 for the purpose of establishing, maintaining, managing and developing academies and free schools as world class centres of excellence.

EMLC Academy Trust's vision is that every child deserves to be the best they can be. As part of this vision, EMLC Academy Trust aims to develop centres of excellence for leadership and teaching and learning and where pupils are safe and engaged in their learning. The Trust is driven by the moral purpose of making a significant difference in areas where failure has been ingrained and ambitions stunted.

By 2019, EMLC Academy Trust aims to be sponsoring between 12-15 open academies.

The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services to the following EMLC Academy Trust schools:

- Orchard Academy, Springfield Boulevard, Milton Keynes, MK6 3HW.

- Shepherdswell Academy, Billingwell Place, Springfield, Milton Keynes, MK6 3NP.

- Stimpson Avenue Academy, Stimpson Avenue, Northampton, NN1 4LR.

The contract covers the scope for the provision of all catering and vending services within the Academies, which also includes all hospitality and free issue requirements.

The duration of the contract being offered is 3 years commencing on 1.8.2017 and concluding on 31.7.2020.

The contract being offered within this tender will be based on a guaranteed performance basis with all free issue requirements and hospitality being recharged on consumption at 'net' food cost only.

The contract value is estimated at 280 000 GBP p.a.

The contracting authority reserves the right not to award any or part of the contract which is the subject of this Contract Notice and reserves the right to terminate the procurement process at any time.

The contracting authority will not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in tendering for this contract opportunity.

The contracting authority will consider variant bids, evaluating them (so far as the variant or the evaluation of the variant is in the opinion of the contracting authority practicable) on the same basis as a conforming bid, but shall not be obliged to accept any such bid in preference to a conforming bid even if the variant bid scores more highly. No variant will be considered unless the bidder simultaneously submits a conforming bid.
