Description

2460/474/CW/IMG/20 Industrial Robot (x2)

The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for two industrial robots on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, IMG Group.

Scope of Requirement

The AMRC IMG Group has a requirement for two kinematically-linked medium payload, six-axis robots for use in creating a research cell dedicated to the automated winding of coils for electrical machines to be installed at the AMRC Factory 2050 facility in Sheffield.
As this cell will be used as a research platform, it must offer a means of controlling the robots in real-time via an external PC with non-proprietary software, e.g. ROS-Industrial. To ensure best value for money, the AMRC are willing to consider and review a proposal for ex-demo robots, which meets all technical, commissioning and warranty items specified.
