Description

English Heritage Trust is seeking to appoint a Principle Contractor for a major project at Walmer Castle, with works on site to commence in May 2018 to be complete in April 2019.
The project will restore the lost gardens of Walmer Castle. As well as restoring and re-presenting historical landscaping, the project will improve access to the entire western half of the garden, creating a hub of community activity with learning and volunteer opportunities for diverse audiences. The aim is to part fund the project through the HLF.
The Works include: the Gardener's Compound, provision of education and volunteering facilities, development of a new satellite catering facility and the installation of a play trail through the Woodland and Glen. Further details are included in the PQQ documentation.
