Description

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) requirement is for the procurement of a vector network analyser (VNA) for general use at the new Advanced Quantum Metrology Laboratory (AQML).
The VNA will be shared across four laboratories within the AQML and so should operate up to 40 GHz to allow for greater flexibility in measurement options. The proposed VNA should have a high dynamic range and thermal stability, and the lowest phase noise option should be offered where appropriate.
The VNA should be appropriate for observing harmonic effects of optical and microwave clocks as well as enabling S-parameter evaluations of RF and microwave systems.
