Description
The Education and Skills Funding Agency requires a suitably experienced Modular Contractor to express their interest to tender for the delivery, fit out and service connection of a modular accommodation teaching block
The Modular Contractor will be procured on a full design and build basis (inclusive of PCSA agreement) for a double storey modular temporary accommodation block comprising of 8x classrooms, 2x science labs, group study rooms, toilets and staff offices (GIFA - 1145m2) to be occupied by the school between mid-August 2019 to mid-August 2020. Modular Contractor's construction scope inclusive of delivery, fit out and utilities service connection of the modular temporary accommodation block only. Site access, utilities services, foundations and surrounding hardstand / landscaping will be completed by others.
The target construction programme runs from June 2019 to August 2019, for handover mid-August enabling the school to install ICT and loose FF&E ahead of the September 2019 start date.
The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the following split: qualitative assessment (50%) / quantitative assessment (50%).
