Description

The Research projects activity covers a number of internal refurbishments at various Coventry University premises including, Jaguar Building; Alison Gingell Building and Ryton Gardens. These construction works are specifically being undertaken to support the purchase and installation of Specialist Research Equipment and the co-location of research groups. The contract will also require coordination and management of specialist installers / suppliers as a part of the key deliverables within the Alison Gingell Building Ground Floor. It will be essential that this supplier is full engaged in the project delivery. Refurbishment activities will also include alterations and adaptations of a number of key University Standard systems including fire alarm, security and access control installations

The installation of key FF&E elements will also be undertaken during the construction phase including Audio Visual Systems, IT network equipment and loose furniture. The contractor shall allow for these University activities to ensure a smooth total project delivery.

A set of key project deliverables is also presented in the Tender Documentation including the satisfactorily completion of the Operations and Maintenance Manuals, snagging clearance and systems demonstrations.
