Description

Thurrock Council is planning to build add a new modern, energy-efficient extension to its Civic Office complex in Grays, with an emphasis on maximising both civic and community use. The extension will house,
o A new main entrance to the High Street
o an improved customer service area
o a public caf? with outdoor seating area
o a Register Office with ceremonial gardens for weddings
o a new council chamber with public gallery
o committee rooms
o offices for the use of elected members
o meeting rooms for council and community use/hire
o staff offices
The extension will allow the Council to free up part of the existing building, referred to as CO1, for future development. It will also be the first step in a multi-million pound regeneration scheme for South Grays which includes proposals for a new pedestrian underpass at Grays Railway Station and is designed to attract new business, private investment and jobs to the area.

The client has selected a two stage procurement route which is explained in the ITT document
