Description

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) are inviting bids from a number of organisations who might be able to provide services that meet RMBC's current needs for Telematics Equipment for the Winter Fleet Service package. The specification requirements are for the installation, running and maintenance of: - A forced route navigation system (rugged tablet pc with a sat nav touch screen) - Tracking device and software - real time tracking plus audit trails and exception reports that can be accesses and interrogated online - Automated salting facilities All software and hardware must be compatible with RMBC's existing ECON'S IN-VEHICLE ECON SPARGO BOXES The full detailed specification is detailed in Appendix 1-Telematics Equipment for Winter Service. The anticipated spend is in the region of £9k per annum, however this does not carry any guarantee of turnover and any estimated volumes of business are indicative and may vary upwards or downwards depending on actual future needs. The quotation will be awarded initially for a period of 3 years, with the option to extend at the sole discretion of the Council for a further one year. The intention is to award to a single supplier. All suppliers who wish to be considered for this quotation must register on the YORtender system and electronically complete and upload the quotation documents onto the system no later than 12.00 noon on Friday 22nd July. All Requests for Quotation must be returned through the YORtender system and will not be accepted by any other means. The details set out in this RFQ are given in good faith and believed to be correct. However, RMBC does not warrant the accuracy of those details and each bidder should make its own appropriate enquiries. Bidders and other recipients of this RFQ are reminded that the issue of this RFQ in no way commits RMBC to award any contract pursuant to the quotation process and that neither RMBC, nor any of their advisers, shall be liable for any expenses incurred by Bidders or such recipients in connection with the quotation process.
