All tender information MUST be submitted through the CCS eSourcing Portal.
Items are to be delivered by the 30th of November 2017.
The National Oceanography Centre (European Way, Southampton SO14 3ZH) at the Natural Environment Research Council has a requirement to be supplied with 50 Number Complete Full Personal Survival Kits, as per Part 1-B Paragraphy 9.1 of the Polar Code (IMO Resolution MSC.385(94)). Requirements reprinted below form the code:-
• Protective clothing (hat, gloves - 1 pair, socks - 1 pair, face and neck protection, etc.). Sets are to be supplied in 4 X small, 15 X medium, 20 extra large and 11 X extra, extra large.
• Skin protection cream
• Thermal protective aid
• Sunglasses
• Whistle
• Drinking mug
• Penknife
• Polar survival guidance
• Emergency food
• Carrying bag
The packs are to be supplied in a heavy duty, waterproof bag with a waterproof zipper and the bag has to have two shoulder straps to allow the user to carry the pack securely.
The protective clothing should be vacuum packed in one package.
