Description

Beacon Technology Park, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL31 2QN (CC Additional Parking Scheme) - Demolition of a disused 2-storey hospital building of brick construction with a ridge roof know as 'St. Aubyn Villa'. A demolition survey has identified areas containing asbestos which will require removing as part of the Subcontract Works. The works will also require a soft strip of the service tunnel running underneath the building within a confined space.

Subcontract Works will be the Demolition of 'St. Aubyn Villa', which is a disused hospital building at the site of Beacon Technology Park in Bodmin, Cornwall. The 2-storey brick building requires demolishing as part of the main scheme to allow an additional car parking plot to be constructed for the new Cornwall Council 'Chy Trevail' offices. A demolition asbestos survey has been carried out by Cormac, the report for which identifies some asbestos containing materials (mainly present around pipe lagging) which will require removing under license as part of the Subcontract Works, prior to Demolition. The works will also require a soft strip of the service tunnel running underneath the building, which will be within a confined space.
